Moreover the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came unto JeremiahH3414 the secondH8145 time, while he was yet shut upH6113 in the courtH2691 of the prisonH4307, sayingH559,2Thus saithH559 the LORDH3068 the makerH6213 thereof, the LORDH3068 that formedH3335 it, to establishH3559 it; the LORDH3068 is his nameH8034;3CallH7121 unto me, and I will answerH6030 thee, and shewH5046 thee greatH1419 and mighty thingsH1219, which thou knowestH3045 not.4For thus saithH559 the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, concerning the housesH1004 of this cityH5892, and concerning the housesH1004 of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063, which are thrown downH5422 by the mountsH5550, and by the swordH2719;5They comeH935 to fightH3898 with the ChaldeansH3778, but it is to fillH4390 them with the dead bodiesH6297 of menH120, whom I have slainH5221 in mine angerH639 and in my furyH2534, and for all whose wickednessH7451 I have hidH5641 my faceH6440 from this cityH5892.6Behold, I will bringH5927 it healthH724 and cureH4832, and I will cureH7495 them, and will revealH1540 unto them the abundanceH6283 of peaceH7965 and truthH571.7And I will cause the captivityH7622 of JudahH3063 and the captivityH7622 of IsraelH3478 to returnH7725, and will buildH1129 them, as at the firstH7223.8And I will cleanseH2891 them from all their iniquityH5771, whereby they have sinnedH2398 against me; and I will pardonH5545 all their iniquitiesH5771, whereby they have sinnedH2398, and whereby they have transgressedH6586 against me.

9And it shall be to me a nameH8034 of joyH8342, a praiseH8416 and an honourH8597 before all the nationsH1471 of the earthH776, which shall hearH8085 all the goodH2896 that I doH6213 unto them: and they shall fearH6342 and trembleH7264 for all the goodnessH2896 and for all the prosperityH7965 that I procureH6213 unto it.10Thus saithH559 the LORDH3068; Again there shall be heardH8085 in this placeH4725, which ye sayH559 shall be desolateH2720 without manH120 and without beastH929, even in the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, and in the streetsH2351 of JerusalemH3389, that are desolateH8074, without manH120, and without inhabitantH3427, and without beastH929,11The voiceH6963 of joyH8342, and the voiceH6963 of gladnessH8057, the voiceH6963 of the bridegroomH2860, and the voiceH6963 of the brideH3618, the voiceH6963 of them that shall sayH559, PraiseH3034 the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635: for the LORDH3068 is goodH2896; for his mercyH2617 endureth for everH5769: and of them that shall bringH935 the sacrifice of praiseH8426 into the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068. For I will cause to returnH7725 the captivityH7622 of the landH776, as at the firstH7223, saithH559 the LORDH3068.

12Thus saithH559 the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635; Again in this placeH4725, which is desolateH2720 without manH120 and without beastH929, and in all the citiesH5892 thereof, shall be an habitationH5116 of shepherdsH7462 causing their flocksH6629 to lie downH7257.13In the citiesH5892 of the mountainsH2022, in the citiesH5892 of the valeH8219, and in the citiesH5892 of the southH5045, and in the landH776 of BenjaminH1144, and in the places aboutH5439 JerusalemH3389, and in the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, shall the flocksH6629 pass againH5674 under the handsH3027 of him that tellethH4487 them, saithH559 the LORDH3068.14Behold, the daysH3117 comeH935, saithH5002 the LORDH3068, that I will performH6965 that goodH2896 thingH1697 which I have promisedH1696 unto the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 and to the houseH1004 of JudahH3063.

15In those daysH3117, and at that timeH6256, will I cause the BranchH6780 of righteousnessH6666 to grow upH6779 unto DavidH1732; and he shall executeH6213 judgmentH4941 and righteousnessH6666 in the landH776.16In those daysH3117 shall JudahH3063 be savedH3467, and JerusalemH3389 shall dwellH7931 safelyH983: and this is the name wherewith she shall be calledH7121, The LORD our righteousnessH3072.

17For thus saithH559 the LORDH3068; DavidH1732 shall neverH3808 wantH3772 a manH376 to sitH3427 upon the throneH3678 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478;18Neither shall the priestsH3548 the LevitesH3881 wantH3772 a manH376 beforeH6440 me to offerH5927 burnt offeringsH5930, and to kindleH6999 meat offeringsH4503, and to doH6213 sacrificeH2077 continuallyH3117.

19And the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came unto JeremiahH3414, sayingH559,20Thus saithH559 the LORDH3068; If ye can breakH6565 my covenantH1285 of the dayH3117, and my covenantH1285 of the nightH3915, and that there should not be dayH3119 and nightH3915 in their seasonH6256;21Then may also my covenantH1285 be brokenH6565 with DavidH1732 my servantH5650, that he should not have a sonH1121 to reignH4427 upon his throneH3678; and with the LevitesH3881 the priestsH3548, my ministersH8334.22As the hostH6635 of heavenH8064 cannot be numberedH5608, neither the sandH2344 of the seaH3220 measuredH4058: so will I multiplyH7235 the seedH2233 of DavidH1732 my servantH5650, and the LevitesH3881 that ministerH8334 unto me.23Moreover the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came to JeremiahH3414, sayingH559,24ConsiderestH7200 thou not what this peopleH5971 have spokenH1696, sayingH559, The twoH8147 familiesH4940 which the LORDH3068 hath chosenH977, he hath even cast them offH3988? thus they have despisedH5006 my peopleH5971, that they should be no more a nationH1471 beforeH6440 them.25Thus saithH559 the LORDH3068; If my covenantH1285 be not with dayH3119 and nightH3915, and if I have not appointedH7760 the ordinancesH2708 of heavenH8064 and earthH776;26ThenH1571 will I cast awayH3988 the seedH2233 of JacobH3290, and DavidH1732 my servantH5650, so that I will not takeH3947 any of his seedH2233 to be rulersH4910 over the seedH2233 of AbrahamH85, IsaacH3446, and JacobH3290: for I will cause their captivityH7622 to returnH7725 H7725, and have mercyH7355 on them.
