II Kings 7 (kjv)

7

Then ElishaH477 saidH559, HearH8085 ye the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068; Thus saithH559 the LORDH3068, To morrowH4279 about this timeH6256 shall a measureH5429 of fine flourH5560 be sold for a shekelH8255, and two measuresH5429 of barleyH8184 for a shekelH8255, in the gateH8179 of SamariaH8111.2Then a lordH7991 on whose handH3027 the kingH4428 leanedH8172 answeredH6030 the manH376 of GodH430, and saidH559, Behold, if the LORDH3068 would makeH6213 windowsH699 in heavenH8064, might this thingH1697 be? And he saidH559, Behold, thou shalt seeH7200 it with thine eyesH5869, but shalt not eatH398 thereof.

3And there were fourH702 leprousH6879 menH582 at the entering inH6607 of the gateH8179: and they saidH559 oneH376 to anotherH7453, Why sitH3427 we here until we dieH4191?4If we sayH559, We will enterH935 into the cityH5892, then the famineH7458 is in the cityH5892, and we shall dieH4191 there: and if we sit stillH3427 here, we dieH4191 also. Now therefore comeH3212, and let us fallH5307 unto the hostH4264 of the SyriansH758: if they save us aliveH2421, we shall liveH2421; and if they killH4191 us, we shall but dieH4191.5And they rose upH6965 in the twilightH5399, to goH935 unto the campH4264 of the SyriansH758: and when they were comeH935 to the uttermost partH7097 of the campH4264 of SyriaH758, behold, there was no manH376 there.6For the LordH136 had made the hostH4264 of the SyriansH758 to hearH8085 a noiseH6963 of chariotsH7393, and a noiseH6963 of horsesH5483, even the noiseH6963 of a greatH1419 hostH2428: and they saidH559 oneH376 to anotherH251, Lo, the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 hath hiredH7936 against us the kingsH4428 of the HittitesH2850, and the kingsH4428 of the EgyptiansH4714, to comeH935 upon us.7Wherefore they aroseH6965 and fledH5127 in the twilightH5399, and leftH5800 their tentsH168, and their horsesH5483, and their assesH2543, even the campH4264 as it was, and fledH5127 for their lifeH5315.8And when these lepersH6879 cameH935 to the uttermost partH7097 of the campH4264, they wentH935 into oneH259 tentH168, and did eatH398 and drinkH8354, and carriedH5375 thence silverH3701, and goldH2091, and raimentH899, and wentH3212 and hidH2934 it; and came againH7725, and enteredH935 into anotherH312 tentH168, and carriedH5375 thence also, and wentH3212 and hidH2934 it.9Then they saidH559 oneH376 to anotherH7453, We doH6213 not well: this dayH3117 is a dayH3117 of good tidingsH1309, and we hold our peaceH2814: if we tarryH2442 till the morningH1242 lightH216, some mischiefH5771 will comeH4672 upon us: now therefore comeH3212, that we may goH935 and tellH5046 the king'sH4428 householdH1004.10So they cameH935 and calledH7121 unto the porterH7778 of the cityH5892: and they toldH5046 them, sayingH559, We cameH935 to the campH4264 of the SyriansH758, and, behold, there was no manH376 there, neither voiceH6963 of manH120, but horsesH5483 tiedH631, and assesH2543 tiedH631, and the tentsH168 as they were.11And he calledH7121 the portersH7778; and they toldH5046 it to the king'sH4428 houseH1004 withinH6441.

12And the kingH4428 aroseH6965 in the nightH3915, and saidH559 unto his servantsH5650, I will now shewH5046 you what the SyriansH758 have doneH6213 to us. They knowH3045 that we be hungryH7457; therefore are they gone outH3318 of the campH4264 to hideH2247 themselves in the fieldH7704, sayingH559, When they come outH3318 of the cityH5892, we shall catchH8610 them aliveH2416, and getH935 into the cityH5892.13And oneH259 of his servantsH5650 answeredH6030 and saidH559, Let some takeH3947, I pray thee, fiveH2568 of the horsesH5483 that remainH7604, which are leftH7604 in the city, (behold, they are as all the multitudeH1995 of IsraelH3478 that are leftH7604 in it: behold, I say, they are even as all the multitudeH1995 of the IsraelitesH3478 that are consumedH8552 and let us sendH7971 and seeH7200.14They tookH3947 therefore twoH8147 chariotH7393 horsesH5483; and the kingH4428 sentH7971 afterH310 the hostH4264 of the SyriansH758, sayingH559, GoH3212 and seeH7200.15And they wentH3212 afterH310 them unto JordanH3383: and, lo, all the wayH1870 was fullH4392 of garmentsH899 and vesselsH3627, which the SyriansH758 had cast awayH7993 in their hasteH2648. And the messengersH4397 returnedH7725, and toldH5046 the kingH4428.16And the peopleH5971 went outH3318, and spoiledH962 the tentsH4264 of the SyriansH758. So a measureH5429 of fine flourH5560 was sold for a shekelH8255, and two measuresH5429 of barleyH8184 for a shekelH8255, according to the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068.

17And the kingH4428 appointedH6485 the lordH7991 on whose handH3027 he leanedH8172 to have the charge of the gateH8179: and the peopleH5971 trodeH7429 upon him in the gateH8179, and he diedH4191, as the manH376 of GodH430 had saidH1696, who spakeH1696 when the kingH4428 came downH3381 to him.18And it came to pass as the manH376 of GodH430 had spokenH1696 to the kingH4428, sayingH559, Two measuresH5429 of barleyH8184 for a shekelH8255, and a measureH5429 of fine flourH5560 for a shekelH8255, shall be to morrowH4279 about this timeH6256 in the gateH8179 of SamariaH8111:19And that lordH7991 answeredH6030 the manH376 of GodH430, and saidH559, Now, behold, if the LORDH3068 should makeH6213 windowsH699 in heavenH8064, might such a thingH1697 be? And he saidH559, Behold, thou shalt seeH7200 it with thine eyesH5869, but shalt not eatH398 thereof.20And so it fell out unto him: for the peopleH5971 trodeH7429 upon him in the gateH8179, and he diedH4191.
