The priestsH3548 the LevitesH3881, and all the tribeH7626 of LeviH3878, shall have no partH2506 nor inheritanceH5159 with IsraelH3478: they shall eatH398 the offeringsH801 of the LORDH3068 made by fireH801, and his inheritanceH5159.2Therefore shall they have no inheritanceH5159 amongH7130 their brethrenH251: the LORDH3068 is their inheritanceH5159, as he hath saidH1696 unto them.
3And this shall be the priest'sH3548 dueH4941 from the peopleH5971, from them that offerH2076 a sacrificeH2077, whether it be oxH7794 or sheepH7716; and they shall giveH5414 unto the priestH3548 the shoulderH2220, and the two cheeksH3895, and the mawH6896.4The firstfruitH7225 also of thy cornH1715, of thy wineH8492, and of thine oilH3323, and the firstH7225 of the fleeceH1488 of thy sheepH6629, shalt thou giveH5414 him.5For the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 hath chosenH977 him out of all thy tribesH7626, to standH5975 to ministerH8334 in the nameH8034 of the LORDH3068, him and his sonsH1121 for everH3117.
6And if a LeviteH3881 comeH935 from anyH259 of thy gatesH8179 out of all IsraelH3478, where he sojournedH1481, and comeH935 with all the desireH185 of his mindH5315 unto the placeH4725 which the LORDH3068 shall chooseH977;7Then he shall ministerH8334 in the nameH8034 of the LORDH3068 his GodH430, as all his brethrenH251 the LevitesH3881 do, which standH5975 there beforeH6440 the LORDH3068.8They shall have like portionsH2506 to eatH398, beside that which cometh of the saleH4465 of his patrimonyH1.
9When thou art comeH935 into the landH776 which the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 givethH5414 thee, thou shalt not learnH3925 to doH6213 after the abominationsH8441 of those nationsH1471.10There shall not be foundH4672 among you any one that maketh his sonH1121 or his daughterH1323 to passH5674 through the fireH784, or that usethH7080 divinationH7081, or an observer of timesH6049, or an enchanterH5172, or a witchH3784,11Or a charmerH2266 H2267, or a consulterH7592 with familiar spiritsH178, or a wizardH3049, or a necromancerH1875 H4191.12For all that doH6213 these things are an abominationH8441 unto the LORDH3068: and becauseH1558 of these abominationsH8441 the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 doth drive them outH3423 from beforeH6440 thee.13Thou shalt be perfectH8549 with the LORDH3068 thy GodH430.14For these nationsH1471, which thou shalt possessH3423, hearkenedH8085 unto observers of timesH6049, and unto divinersH7080: but as for thee, the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 hath not sufferedH5414 thee so to do.
15The LORDH3068 thy GodH430 will raise upH6965 unto thee a ProphetH5030 from the midstH7130 of thee, of thy brethrenH251, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearkenH8085;16According to all that thou desiredstH7592 of the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 in HorebH2722 in the dayH3117 of the assemblyH6951, sayingH559, Let me not hearH8085 againH3254 the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068 my GodH430, neither let me seeH7200 this greatH1419 fireH784 any more, that I dieH4191 not.17And the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto me, They have wellH3190 spoken that which they have spokenH1696.18I will raise them upH6965 a ProphetH5030 from amongH7130 their brethrenH251, like unto thee, and will putH5414 my wordsH1697 in his mouthH6310; and he shall speakH1696 unto them all that I shall commandH6680 him.19And it shall come to pass, that whosoeverH376 will not hearkenH8085 unto my wordsH1697 which he shall speakH1696 in my nameH8034, I will requireH1875 it of him.
20But the prophetH5030, which shall presumeH2102 to speakH1696 a wordH1697 in my nameH8034, which I have not commandedH6680 him to speakH1696, or that shall speakH1696 in the nameH8034 of otherH312 godsH430, even that prophetH5030 shall dieH4191.21And if thou sayH559 in thine heartH3824, How shall we knowH3045 the wordH1697 which the LORDH3068 hath not spokenH1696?22When a prophetH5030 speakethH1696 in the nameH8034 of the LORDH3068, if the thingH1697 follow not, nor come to passH935, that is the thingH1697 which the LORDH3068 hath not spokenH1696, but the prophetH5030 hath spokenH1696 it presumptuouslyH2087: thou shalt not be afraidH1481 of him.
